As a boy, I learned the rules in hunter’s safety class and I followed the mandated safety procedures before every single gun industry event. House Bill 102 does away with this kind of common sense. If enacted, people without any permit could carry concealed guns into bars and college campuses across our state.

Yep, he's right... [read sarcasm] best to only have thugs and criminals carrying without a permit in those locations.... not the same people that safely store guns in their own homes, around children and sometimes even drunks. I think constitutional carry has failed to provide any hysterical idiots the outcome they have predicted.

I guess, while learning to be so responsible and everything, he forgot to learn anything in Civics class. The same document, that allows him to express his opinion, also uses the phrase "shall not be infringed". There is nothing in the Constitution, that says, "except in bars, or college campuses". Nor does it require training, to exercise the right.

Maybe, we should have a government mandate that says you cannot have an opinion posted, for public viewing, without a demonstrated knowledge and understanding, of the entire Constitution.

I respect that gentleman's first amendment rights. I agree with him that firearms safety is important. I respectfully disagree with him on his other points. Albeit persuasive, he neglects to address any other existing laws that keeps things safe. For example, I'm no scholar, but I'm pretty sure Montana, like Texas, has a law that prohibits carrying a firearm while intoxicated, which would prohibit carrying while drinking at a bar. That may or may not be under Montana Code Title 45 Chapter 8 Section 327. Just saying.

In fairness - seems he left Kimber late last year, according to a Kimber news-release.
