If you aren't interested I won't try to sell you but once you've done it a couple of times there is no real difference in the hassle/time. On the other hand, there is no real advantage to pins if the primers aren't removed before cleaning. Okay, now we're crossing into the hassle/time zone.

Dawn, Simple Green, Great Value, Brand X... All about the same results. Any quality surfactant will do. It seems to be less about degreasing and more about sudsing. If the suds will last long enough to keep the krap in suspension until you drain it, what more is needed? Whether in your tiny tumbler or my relative monster tumbler, the quantities used aren't going to break the bank no matter what you decide on. I have been using an old bottle of Armor All wash & wax concentrate for a year or so. Don't hate, YMMV.
