This morning, I stopped at my hometown QT. No "masks required" sign. The sign posted listing the maximum number of people in the store was gone. The "no refills" sign was gone.
Inside, two clerks working with no masks. I felt like I had stepped back in time. I have been going in there sans mask for the past 5 months, and have never been confronted about it, by clerks or customers.
I don't know if all Texas QTs have adopted this policy or not, but I'm glad to see it in my hometown.

Thanks for the update, now I know to avoid QTs until I know everyone is vaccinated.

By checking their papers of course! (If the controllers are able to implement the vaccination card or no soup for you requirement)

In central TX you are only safe in the Taylor Walmart and Waco Harbor Freight. In the last year, they are the only 2 places that made me put a mask on.

This right here is some seriously scary business. I am expecting this lunacy next. The MSM and politicians have done a great job of terrorizing the desire to be free Americans right out of at least 50% of this country.

I'll make my choices based on the science and my doctor, not some politician. I respect your right to make your choices. IOW, I agree with Abbott's decision. We should make our own choices, not something prescribed by the Govt. But, as noted, I will avoid people and establishments that, in my opinion, make bad choices.

We can let the gene pool sort it out.

I agree, that everyone is responsible for their own safety. I don't expect government, or business owners, to protect me. Not from a virus, nor armed evildoers.

My point was, their will never be 100% of the people who get the covid vaccination. And there is no way to know, who has and who has not done so, no matter where you may go.

If I choose to get vaccinated, then I don't care who else does. (why would I?) Just like if I choose to wear a mask, why would I care if the next person does so? JMHO

The reason there are people who want others to wear a mask is that a mask does not protect the wearer, it is suppose to keep the wearer from accidentally spreading the virus to others through their spittle.

I think that they are ashamed, that they have been snookered by the controllers, and don't want to be the only ones with an outward example, of their sheep mentality.

There will never be enough control, for the tyrants, why else do you think they decided that one mask is not enough? Now two masks will be better. I have seen no evidence that wearing masks, staying home, social distancing, closing schools, or anything else has slowed the spread, of a virus that has a 99.8% survivability rate. Now, even with vaccines, they still insist that we wear masks after getting it. MSM continues it's panic porn, by spreading fear about side effects.
