Anyone have recent conversations with business owners over 30.06/30.07?

Maybe it’s just the times, or me not getting out and about as much, but it seems as if the proliferation of 30.06, and 30.07 signs, has been reduced. I live south of Fort Worth, and the Burleson area has exploded with new businesses, and restaurants. My family have frequented many of them and so far, we have not encountered a single sign at any of them. This also includes a new doctor’s office.
I changed doctors after my previous physician’s practice was purchased by a conglomerate, and their first order of business was to post both 30.06 and 30.07 signs.
I was just curious, if this trend is the norm in other areas? And if anyone has spoken to new business owners regarding signs?

I hadn't noticed.

My wife and I are not really social butterfly's anyway, so covid hasn't effected our going out as much as some and what little effect it has had is less due to restaurant closure or capacity, but rather our own work schedule. We are working more hours and are more tired and at the end our our shifts and have slightly different shifts. That alone results in us not wanting to get out once we are home after work.

It could be those anti-2A folks who go around to hand out those signs are quarantining themselves. But it could also be us not going to places that would be more likely to have those signs. In the past week, I've been to two places with both 30.06 and 30.07 posted, neither of which I've visited before. One of them wasn't legally posted. The other place wasn't surprising to see both signs. Before that, I haven't seen a single sign for months.

Possibly, but I think it is a combination of things.
One: businesses, don't want to have big ugly compliant signs cluttering up their entrances. I think that is why there is a pre-filed bill to change the requirements, for signage, giving businesses, the option to post any type, of no gun signs, with the same force of law. ( I don't believe for a minute, that business owners, in general, are pushing for this, it's strictly political)

Two: I think it has become a non-issue, since most LTC holders still CC, there is not enough examples, of OC, to frighten the populace. So when new businesses open, the owners, aren't concerned about it.
Three: There haven't been any issues at businesses, that allow carry in either form, so the MSM, and gun-grabbers don't have any fodder to keep it at the forefront.

As I said, I have a limited area, to use as an example, but it seems to me, that even the new posts, on the 30.06 database, are the usual suspects, hospitals, financial institutions, and chain establishments, that have already made it corporate policy. YMMV

I am planning a trip out to Texas for 3 weeks in mid-September (San Antonio-Houston-Tyler-Dallas) and want to stay at hotels that (at most) only have 30.07 signage. My understanding was that all hotels, by Texas law, must post their gun policy on their website. I just started looking at downtown SA hotels and have yet to find a specific hotel website that does this. Am I mistaken as to the law? And apart from calling each individual, candidate hotel, what other information sources would be reliable? The postings here are good but many are 3-4 years old and many hotels are not rated. Not being critical, I understand it's a lot of work to keep something like this current and I very much appreciate this group... just wondering what options there are and what others do to ensure they are not 'surprised' by unexpected signage?

Since you are going in mid-September, SB20 will be in effect. I would encourage you to read the text as I believe it pertains to some of your concerns.

I always felt this law should have been unnecessary, and should have been covered under the MPA. A hotel/motel room, is under the control of the person “renting” it, if only for one night, and as such, becomes, that person’s “residence”.
30.06/30.07 signage only applies to LTC holders, and should not apply for those who are going to and from their room, since they would not be carrying under their LTC authorization. But again, lawmakers have a bad habit of not addressing these issues, when they write bills. Rather than repeal laws, they jus add more, that often contradict each other. JMHO

As a note, I did confirm, and did receive written confirmation just now (prior to booking my stay) of same, by the "Inn of the Hills" in Kerrville that they have 30.07 signs (concealed is OK..).
This matches to what is currently posted on here for that Hotel property. Looks like a nice place, good location. Staying there two nights.

So, one down... others to research and book. Thanks to all here for the help.
