Fortunately I’m sitting pretty well on ammo, but I definitely find that I’ve been shooting a whole lot more 22lr lately. Average range session is about 200 rounds. Out of that I’d say it’s 50 9mm and 150 22lr. I’ve also been bringing out my pistols more and running a few rounds through them as well.

Like a few others here, I am in good shape when it comes to 9mm, .45, 5.56, 7.62x39 and .40 but I am starting to run low on .22. I won't mention number of rounds in each caliber but total count is north of 50K rounds. It is enough that I was tempted to sell some while prices were high but after Biden stole the election using fraud I decided it may be best to hold tight. I plan to pick up some more 22 so I can have cheap practice ammo.

Let me know if you want to swap some 9mm for 22. I’m in Plano as well.

I appreciate the offer but I am hanging on to what I have. I am believing we are about to experience some problems getting ammo like we have never seen before.

No problem at all. And in total agreement with you on future problems getting ammo. 6 months ago I was willing to sell students a box of 9mm if they needed it, now I’m only willing to sell a box of 22 if they need it. Get back to me in another few months and I’ll probably stop that as well. But I have had potential students hesitate to take my classes because they can’t find ammunition. Once I inform them that they can qualify with a 22 they are in.

Yes same here, went to ASC and only shot about 100 rounds total between 8mm and 7.62 x 39 at 100 yards.

I just joined ASC, went to orientation last Saturday. Was going to shoot yesterday but the ammo uncertainty caused me to stay home.

What concerns me most is that with everyone clammed up, the ranges will start folding soon... gun and ammo sellers should be sitting on big bank accounts from selling 3 years worth of stuff last year but the ranges need recurring business to stay open.

I don’t know about all ranges, but the three that I’ve been to, in the past 6 months, have been packed. Most host LTC classes, and I have had to wait as long as an hour for an open lane.

I was in Shoot Point Blank in Arlington Saturday, no common ammo available but the range had people waiting to shoot. And lots of people looking at firearms.
