In a slide presentation Sen. John Cornyn delivered to Senate Republicans at lunch on Wednesday, the Texas Republican went through areas where the NRA got want it wanted, per source — even though the pro-gun lobby is opposed to the bipartisan deal he cut

I'm not sure Cornyn would be recalled even if it were possible to do so. He continues to win primary elections, so he's getting support from a majority of Republicans in Texas. Given his record, I don't understand why, unless the "mainstream" Republican party here refuses to field and support good competitive candidates. I've personally voted against him twice in primary elections, going back more than 12 years, to no avail.

I know. I was just hoping for a more pleasant experience when paying to get screwed.

A new poll of Texas voters finds John Cornyn's approval numbers far below those of any other statewide officeholder polled. Worse, he now has lower job approval numbers than Joe Biden among Texas voters.
