What do I miss about Texas? Most of the food, some of the people, absolutely none of the weather.

William Kirk isn't my favorite commentator, but he gives a good summary.

Lapierre's testimony begins. https://nrawatch.org/filing/nra-trial-d ... expensive/
LaPierre testified that he flew by private jet because he was told by the NRA’s head of security that it was necessary, but testimony was elicited that indicated that LaPierre had been traveling by private charter flights for years before the head of security was even hired by LaPierre.
LaPierre testified that he had a personal travel agent who for 30 years would book lodging, private jet, and black car services for him. He said that he would call her directly to book travel and that nothing was requested in writing. While LaPierre initially said he would “occasionally” speak to her regarding the costs of his private jet travel, the NYAG showed him previous testimony in which he said that he did not discuss such costs with the travel agent. After that, LaPierre admitted that he never asked her about the costs and that she never offered that information.
Obviously, the ones who never saw any of this unapproved spending will be saying that it's not a big deal, that the membership just shut up and send more money.

Millie Hallow was known to be stealing from NRA 20+ years ago, and nothing much was done about it. The report itself is and was hyper-secret, and NRA’s attorneys fought like hell to keep it sealed. You can, on the other hand, read it here. (LOL!). It gets interesting after p. 16. She was putting half-a-million a year on her NRA Amex card. P. 18 notes that she reimbursed NRA with the entire of a bonus she was given. (NRA leadership gave her a bonus so she could reimburse NRA, in other words. Why would anyone give a bonus to an employee they just caught in embezzlement?)

She charged a family vacation to Puerto Rico to the NRA card (must have flown first class, each airline ticket cost over a thousand). All this was known and documented 21 years ago, not just to NRA leadership, but to the entire NRA Audit Committee, to whom the report is addressed.

Someone remind me who was in charge of the Audit Committee...

Ineffective counsel pretty much describes all of Brewer's results for the NRA.
