Hopefully when the NRA’s real bankruptcy takes place the courts won’t allow any of the existing leadership or board members to remain in the organization.

Continuing to vote in NRA board elections is as useful as continuing to vote for Republicans and expecting change.

Insiders keep insidering.

While I think it would be a victory for NRA members to rid themselves of Mr. Cotton, I see no viable way to accomplish that. Cotton has historically landed up in the top 10 vote-getters in his past several elections, and the extra exposure he gets in the NRA magazines makes it very unlikely that he could be pushed down into the bottom 4. And even if that were possible, he would almost certainly be subsequently elected to the 76th Director seat that is voted on at the Annual Meeting of Members.

Deposition of John Frazer-Part One
https://nraindanger.wordpress.com/2023/ ... -frazer-2/
Mrs. LaPierre vacationed on McKenzie’s yacht when LaPierre himself was not on the trip. (So much for LaPierre’s flimsy claim that the yacht was necessary as a place he would hide out when he was under security threats).
Director Marion Hammer received three income streams from NRA: a big consulting contract with NRA, another contract with NRA-ILA, and NRA support of Unified Sportsmen of Florida, of which she was the only salaried (and well-salaried) employee. (We’ve heard rumors that NRA, meaning LaPierre, didn’t know about her ILA contract, and ILA didn’t know she had a contract with LaPierre). Her payments from LaPierre and from USF continue to this day. After Audit Committee approved LaPierre’s contract with her, LaPierre increased her pay without consulting Audit Committee. She was being paid $134,000 (plus $260,000 in NRA grants to USF):

“Q. Mr. Frazer, less than five months later after the contract that we looked at, the NRA entered into a new, ten-year, contract with Ms. Hammer, increasing her compensation to $220,000, correct?

A. I believe that is correct.”
Deposition of John Frazer-Part Two
https://nraindanger.wordpress.com/2023/ ... -part-two/
NRA paid to fly director Jim Porter to Argentina and Italy (with a suggestion he flew first-class), and also NRA Foundation top dog Wayne Sheets to Argentina, to solicit a donor during bird-hunting season down there. It also paid to fly director Joel Friedman to Las Vegas, probably for the SHOT show.
Hmmm....the reason the NRA Board didn't stop LaPierre is because THEY are participating in the corruption.
NRA paid for Susan LaPierre’s favorite hairdresser to be flown in to do her hair.
For "security" purposes I'm sure...can't risk Mrs. LaPierre's safety with an unknown hair stylist. /end sarcasm

Deposition of WLP himself, where he didn't remember anything, didn't know anything, just believe everything told to him and signed whatever was put in front of him.

https://nraindanger.wordpress.com/2023/ ... -lapierre/

You can skip to the end for the summary:

We’re left with two possibilities. Either (1) LaPierre, NRA’s CEO for 32 years, is hopelessly incompetent and out of touch even with his own office, people write contracts and make decisions and he just signs them without even knowing who wrote them, or (2) he’s faking it to hide the fact that he, Woody Phillips, Millie Hallow, and others were conspirators feathering their own nests or (3) both of the above. Off leading the good life, on members’ money, and not caring about the details. A vendor pays for your Caribbean vacation, come back to the office, oh, a new contract doubling a director’s compensation, sign it without a worry, someone says your immediate subordinate is embezzling, she says she’s not, no need to inquire further. (Versus, she and Woody have enough on me to where I’d better overlook all this).

How many of the people in "that other forum" would be less supportive of NRA/LaPierre/Cotton if they took the time to read these depositions?

A publicly held company that did business like the NRA would have all of its leadership and board fighting to stay out of jail.
