(W)hen the budget projected a $676,000 surplus at this point, NRA actually ran an $11 million deficit.
Expenses: The standout is the legal costs, listed under “OGC_Secretary” (Office of General Counsel). That was budgeted for a eye-popping $26 million, but actually cost $40 million. Twice as much was spent on legal costs as was spent by the entire of ILA! Legal bills ate up more than ILA and General Operations put together. They are now 29% of NRA’s entire budget;

Wow. It seems that every NRA BoD member was informed (anonymously) of financial misconduct in 2007.
They did nothing about it.
While arguing to keep this report secret the NRA's lawyers actually included the Special Master's report. It does not sound good.

What do I miss about Texas? Most of the food, some of the people, absolutely none of the weather.
I think I was banned 4 times, but the owner (who is smarter than anyone else; just ask him!) never figured out IP bans, just username bans.
Speaking of NRA, though... because of the death of Dave Butz, reformer Frank Tait is now on the BoD.
It remains to be seen how much he's frozen out when he attempts to fulfill his duties.

NRA paid at least $11.7 million in legal fees (both sides) after suing Chris Cox (and losing).

Will the damning news ever be enough for the LaPierre true believers to turn on him?KBCraig wrote: ↑Sat Nov 19, 2022 3:52 pm NRA paid at least $11.7 million in legal fees (both sides) after suing Chris Cox (and losing).

If NRA goes under, wonder if the life members can file a class action suit against the leadership and board of directors?

Well, I cancelled my NRA Lifetime membership after Cotton and Keith B. banned me from the other site for daring to question the hiring of that left wing DemocRat lier, Brewer. I now contribute that same amount of money to GOA and NAGR. Clearly I am not the only freedom living gun rights advocate to have abandoned the inept and corrupt NRA.
