Another grifter gone.

"Despite his fame and popularity, Nugent never donated any money to NRA. In fact, in 2017, the NRA had to pay him more than $60,000 to autograph guitars, which were later auctioned off during Friends of the NRA fundraising dinners, according to a November 2019 report in the Wall Street Journal."

Never been that impressed with Ted. I'm more concerned with a 76 member board of directors. This has the appearance of just being a country club for the elite. You can't get anything done with that many chiefs.
Why is it so hard for politicians to understand "shall not be infringed?"

I wonder how much the guitars brought at auction? Are all NRA board members paid?

The revelation that Lloyds of London declined to renew the NRA’s directors and officers insurance when coverage ends in August may be part of the reason for Mr. Nugent’s departure.
Without D&O insurance the NRA Board Members’ personal assets “potentially” could be at risk if they are held responsible for mismanagement or malfeasance.
Look for more board members to resign if this insurance issue isn’t resolved.

I am bitter clinging, irredeemable, deplorable, an enemy of the state and a Neanderthal, according to the left.

If the mismanagement and/or malfeasance took place while Lloyds coverage was in effect Llyods is still on the hook, no?

That is normally how it works, yes.

But so far, the mis/malfeasance has not been confirmed in court. There is no judgement against the organization, so insurance hasn't yet kicked in.
