Re: Winter weather 2021

We were lucky. Apparently Gatesville's water plant is on our sub station and we never lost power. Feel kind of bad but at the same time happy for it. I guess I did an ok job insulating the well because it didn't freeze and that was my main concern. My storage tank and pressure pump are in the shop w...

Re: Winter weather 2021

A buddy of mine lives in Riesel. He said he thought he was living in California. Staring at wind turbines with no power in the house.

Re: NRA Lawsuit

All the money they have raised and still won't tell you which hill is the one to die on. Just give up a little and claim they need more money to fight the next fight cause it appears the NRA leadership needs to fund their lifestyle. Imagine if they took all the money that went to living the high lif...

Re: Winter weather 2021

The main thing I'm worried about is water. So far the well head and pipes coming into the house have not frozen. The pressure pump, filters, and storage tanks are all in the shop. I was sweating the shop freezing last night but it only got down to 40 inside. Turned the water off on the manifold to e...

Re: Winter weather 2021

I witnessed a truck with a rope over the tailgate, tied to a flat bottom boat, pulling their kids down the snow covered road. I honestly don't know if this is genious and I'm jealous, or if I was appalled at the stupidity of some people. Little help here. Cuz that kinda sounds fun?? You must have h...

You probably mentioned it on the other forum but its been so long since you ordered this, are you planning on cutting down .308 based brass to reload?

Re: 4.3 MILLION NICS checks last month

I caught a piece on nightly news that claimed something around 60% were new, first-time gunowners and of that 40% were female. And there were also some ATF stats revealed: https://www.ammoland.com/2021/02/leaked-atf-document-shows-americans-filed-512315-nfa-applications/ I wonder if I am the only o...

Re: Looks like TexasCHLForum may be coming back!

I'll be sticking around here....three minutes over there and I'm already aggravated at the usual postings making it like TexasCNNforum. If I want to read all the news sites that are nothing but socialist propaganda outlets I would go to those sites. Russell and his team have built a nice place here...

But I did tour Dachau, and it remains the most sobering thing I've ever seen in person, in my life.
I've been there, very sobering.

I told my dad yesterday we are now living in 1930's Germany.
