I see New Posts under the Quick Links menu (top left in a desktop browser), but I don't see a place to mark everything read.
I know not everyone reads forums like I do, but I'm OCD about seeing which posts are new, reading those of interest, and marking everything else as read.

A "view all new posts" button would be great, along with "mark all posts read".

It's a good idea to keep activism confined to one topic at a time. Any time guns are visible, or even hinted at, that will be the only thing covered by the news, and the real reason for the protest will be buried. If it's a gun rights protest, sure: carry, legally. If it's not, then don't turn it in...
