Re: impeachment this week or not

One is a CW2. The other is Balkanization. The latter would result in less loss of life and destruction of property and wealth. A lightly-stepping federal gov’t is preferable to either remedy, but it is also extremely unlikely. I’m arguing that people will naturally gravitate toward Balkanization. I...

Re: The Power of Presidential Executive Orders

Gold isn’t a protected constitutional amendment. It doesn’t mean that a sitting presidential executive order can’t or wouldn’t wreck havoc on our rights, but there are a lot more legalities in firearms vs gold. Actually, this is 100% allowed by the Constitution for property in general. The reason t...

Re: impeachment this week or not

srothstein, here is my logic, FWIW, IF he is convicted..... Article 1 Section 3, Clauses 6 & 7: The Senate shall have the sole power to try all impeachments.  When sitting for that purpose, they shall be on oath or affirmation.  When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justic...

Re: Deans Defensive Shooting - Home Intruder

I have been indoctrinated too well in two different areas. I truly agree with the video presentations, especially in the first video. I thin he was too slow to shoot considering he had his gun out and aimed in the third video, And I think I would have had a reaction in the second video which probabl...

Re: 87th Legislature Committee Assignments

I'm more of a fool, though: I'm an elected NH State Representative, for a whopping $100 a year. And I bet they did not rig the system like they did in Texas. Allowing a larger per diem ($221) when they are in session or in the office on business (even if they live in the Austin area) and making the...

Re: JW Rawles: Why I’m Leaving Amazon — And How You Can Help Starve The Beast

I am not leaving Amazon yet. I don't have a prime account there so it does not cost me anything to shop with them. In general, I prefer to do my shopping in person at local stores. Not that I keep track of where the dollars are going because the local store is quite possibly a national chain anyway....

Re: Holocaust Remembrance Day

I have never understood, especially on days like today, how any Jew could ever be anti-gun ownership. I grew up with people around us that had been prisoners in concentration camps. We were taught what Never Again means from a very young age (at least as young as 8 when I started Hebrew school), inc...

Re: Constitutional Carry Bill Filed

There are two flaws I see with the bill. I appreciate that they took churches out of the list of prohibited places, but they also made hospitals and amusement parks prohibited again without the need to have signs. Unless I missed something in my quick read through just now. I am also a little puzzle...

Re: impeachment this week or not

This whole thing is going to be one hell of a supreme court case, which Roberts will also need to recuse himself from. Impeachment is reserved for current officials and the Belknap case may or may not be guiding. In that case, the Senate voted that they retained jurisdiction to impeach former offici...

Re: impeachment this week or not

Maybe, but more immediately it’s to ensure that he cannot run again in 2024. If the impeachment ends in conviction, he cannot be president in the future. Their biggest fear is that people will be so disgusted by Biden/Harris's actions that voters will easily re-elect Trump in either the next cycle ...
