Re: Unique Work Carry Situation?

I think it is legal for him to carry, but he would probably get fired if caught. The employee's handbook would state what applies to employees, and I bet it forbids weapons.

Re: Latest on ATF Pistol Brace Cluster

And Matt Larosiere and Zach Zermay have filed one challenging the entire NFA based on Bruen . Note the case number: "223". lol I note the first request is just to get SBAs out of the NFA. The only way I see them winning the whole NFA argument is if they base it on taxing a fundamental rig...

Re: No guns signage law changes

I read the linked document and I thought it said that signage requirements for LTCs have not changed. Did I miss something? What you missed is the change that adds the word OR and then specifies a new sign with just one line saying no firearms allowed here or words to that effect and has a gunbuste...

Re: carrying under what authority?

My opinion is that you do not choose which authority you are carrying under in cases like this. You need to remember that you are carrying under the authority of your license ONLY when it provides an exception to the law making your carrying otherwise illegal. So, in most cases, you are not carrying...

Re: A shot in the dark. Or, is it?

Thanks for those answers. I had not considered the hunting or sport shooting side of the questions since I focus primarily on self defense. You certainly could enjoy the hobby with the spotter that way. Incidentally, you could get a remote control speaker to put on the target frame and beep, much li...

Re: A shot in the dark. Or, is it?

Welcome, Robert. I think you are bringing up a very interesting point. I might explain that most instructors would not be interested in a visually impaired student because of their perception of a safety problem. I have seen some instructors who are also not interested in teaching physically disable...

Re: Sign clarification 30.05

30.07 means no open carry by a CHL. 30.05 means no carry by an unlicensed person at all. Some of the debate is that the 30.05 sign says that no one may carry there, but people don't read the whole law where subsection (f) says it doesn't apply to a person with an LTC and carrying a pistol concealed ...

I have never understood how any Jew can look at our history and current events and be anti-gun. I guess they did not grow up with the same understanding of the term :Never Again" that was instilled in me.

Re: Voters must consider eight amendments to the Texas Constitution November 2nd

I have a very negative opinion regarding amendments to the Texas Constitution. I believe amendments should be treated like hall of fame inductees, and only those things which are most important, and "no brainers" should go in. Amending the Constitution, should be more than a popularity co...
