Re: Man killed while resisting arrest in Minneapolis was a criminal
I take exception to the Title of this thread. A warrant for an arrest is not a criminal conviction. Anyone of us could have a warrant for our arrest for any circumstance. Innocent until proven guilty. This is yet another example of police run amok and another black man dying at the hands of the poli...

Re: 30.06 vs 30.07 and college campuses
Hi everyone, As we know are 2 types of signs that prohibit weapons from being carried on a property that references the penal code. 30.06 does not allow concealed carry, and 30.07 does not allow open carry. If there is a 30.06 sign, does that mean I can still carry, as long as it's open? What is th...

Re: 30.06 vs 30.07 and college campuses
Ditto mike s. The Campus Carry Law does not allow public campuses to opt out , but they can post 30.06 signs in certain areas, but they have to justify those postings to the legislature. Parking lots, open areas, etc. should not be posted 30.06, only certain buildings like child care centers, sensit...

Re: Time to open Texas!
I'll make my choices based on the science and my doctor, not some politician. I respect your right to make your choices. IOW, I agree with Abbott's decision. We should make our own choices, not something prescribed by the Govt. But, as noted, I will avoid people and establishments that, in my opinio...

https://media.townhall.com/Townhall/Car/b/afb021721dAPR20210217054503.jpg Contrary to popular opinion, it wasn't the windmills or solar that failed us. It was the gross mismanagement by ERCOT that had gas-fired and other plants offline due to poor preparation or maintenance. With 25% of those plant...

Re: new to cc, love this idea
Don't stress too much. IIRC, it is now only a misdemeanor unless it is one of the places off limits unless they post like a hospital, church, or amusement park. Your understanding of PC 46.035 is out of date. Without copying the whole code, I'll summarize. Walking past a 30.06 or 30.07 is a Class C...

Re: Looks like TexasCHLForum may be coming back!
It's a shame because one of the things I liked best about that forum was the reasoned exchange and discussion about the Lege activities, which just started again. i see that we have a forum here for that, so hopefully this site can pick up the slack.

Re: Question for you HAM fellers?
This link has manuals that may help. These are not Ham radios, so any software we know of would probably not work.

Re: NRA Lawsuit
My understanding is that the voluntary bankruptcy filing allows them to move the venue to Texas, where they hope to find a sympathetic judge.
