Re: 100 year freeze VS Bugging out
My only issue was heat - I had what I thought was plenty of wood for a fireplace, but I had to 1) eek it out and 2) saw logs off tree-limbs I'd recently cut down. I was fine on food, I always have 3 big jugs of water in the fridge, a swimming pool and the means to purify more (water tabs, various pu...

Re: New toy enroute
No plugs, just electronic muffs. I need to work out a better grip - my left thumb was interfering with my trigger finger, so it looks like a weird hold. I was going for accuracy and wasn't using a death-grip, so the recoil is a bit more dramatic than it should be. One thing that doesn't come through...

Re: New toy enroute
I called AM and spoke with Rob, and then Chris (production manager, I think). They made the points that yes, 1) the lockup is tight (for accuracy and longevity) and 2) springs are heavy (again longevity). Chris taught me an interesting technique where one places one's thumb through the trigger-guard...

Re: What I learned during Snowmaggedon
Snovid-21 - lol. Stealing that
I had plenty of food, fresh water, cooking options, water-purification options, etc - but I think I'll lay in a larger supply of firewood this time.

Re: New toy enroute
Thank you. I could only get one shot off with the AM - I had a failure to extract (not a problem with the pistol - I was holding lightly so I could get the most accurate shot) and after clearing the fired case I couldn't get the darn bolt open again. The recoil-springs are extremely strong and the c...
