Re: Letter received from Cornyn
I got the same email reply. On my contact with him, I included the point about including juvenile records in NICS database. I also suggest the recent use of the dirty dozen brain poisons from Big Pharma be included in NICS, for prescriptions within ten years of the application (Prozac, Xanax, Ambien...

Re: Sign I had not seen before
Here I am late to the game as usual, but I have wondered for some time about a legal Texas sign that would prohibit unlicensed carry. I've seen signs for years--before the 9/1 law was even proposed--saying the unlicensed carry of a handgun on the premises was prohibited. Since 9/1 I've only seen an ...

Re: 30.05/Gunbuster signs are now supported
I still see "No unlicensed carry" signs here and there. I'd like to see an official version of that in place of 30.05 signs, which I fear are going to become the convenient catch-all for business owners who don't understand, or choose to not understand, the law and its reality--especially ...

Re: Not that this will ever go anywhere.
If Chipman is confirmed, we'll be lucky if we see only one new regulation a week from ATF. David Chipman, one of the Waco murderers of 80 men, women, and children is absolutely opposed to citizens owning guns. Period. You can count on his "interpretation" of existing laws being the stricte...

Re: Anyone carry a switchblade knife?
I don't currently EDC a knife but I've thought about finding an assisted opening or automatic knife that could serve the many utility needs I often run into. I'll look over some of the models recommended here. How is Blade HQ for a vendor? Any other dedicate knife vendors y'all would recommend? Thi...

Re: Anyone carry a switchblade knife?
Have you tried loosening the pivot screw? A tiny tension adjustment at that point (if it's possible on that knife) makes a world of difference. Hey Pawpaw, I'm back. I couldn't tell by looking, but the center of the pivot screw is a T8, and I just happened to have that size Torx bit. Now the surpri...

Have you tried loosening the pivot screw? A tiny tension adjustment at that point (if it's possible on that knife) makes a world of difference. Hey, thanks, Pawpaw. One end of the pivot has a 3/8" diameter flat head with five holes around the perimeter and maybe a tiny torx fitting in the cent...

Re: Anyone carry a switchblade knife?
Followup on my Boker Plus Strike. A bit of a disappointment. Launched from any position other than open side up (a bit unnatural), the blade often fails to lock open. Held at about 45 degrees from vertical, it locks 90% of the time, but still... I wouldn't carry a handgun that had 10% failures to fe...

Re: Anyone carry a switchblade knife?
Thanks again, guys. I decided to not jump in with both feet...just yet. After all, the Sig wasn't my first handgun. Just as I started with a basic DA/SA FN 9mm, I am starting with a toe in the water with this $50 model from BladeHQ. https://www.bladehq.com/item--Boker-Plus-Strike-Drop-Point--97033 I...

Re: Anyone carry a switchblade knife?
I just looked. The multiple blade choices and handle finishes are a plus. And reasonably priced, all things considered.bblhd672 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 17, 2021 5:13 pm These guys are based in Waxahachie, TX. Saw them at NRA event in Fort Worth.
